Guy Perry

Hometown: Ogden, UT (by way of Elko, Nevada).

Former high school and collegiate distance runner.

Nevada and Utah State Track Champion.
800m, 1600m, 3200m, Medley Relay.

1988 National Jr. Olympic X-C Bronze Medalist.
5000 meters.

Member of the 1989 USA Jr. Track Team.
3000 meter Steeplechase.

Big Sky Conference Champion.
Distance Medley Relay.

Participate 1994 NCAA XC National Championships.
10,000 meters.

2006 USA Triathlon Age Group All American.

Finisher of numerous road and trail marathons, XTERRA, Kokopelli ½ Ironman, Utah Ironman, Mountain Extreme Off Road Ironman, The Endurance 100 MTB Race, and the Logan to Jackson Bike Race.

Debbie Perry

Hometown: Former military brat. In 1988, I moved to Ogden, UT to run at WSU. I fell in love with the mountains and my husband (Guy) and stayed.

Former High school and Collegiate distance runner.

Big Sky Conference Champion in 3000m.

Participated in the 1991 NCAA Div.1 XC National Championships

Graduated w/ B.S. in Physics Teaching from Weber State University.

Certified USA Triathlon Coach
Certified Sports Nutrition Advisor-CSNA
Certified Strength Trainer


Ranked #1 in 2005 35-39 age group USA Triathlon National Rankings.

3 Time USA Triathlon age-group All-American.

Qualified for 2005 USA Triathlon World Championships.

Qualified for 2006 1/2 Ironman (70.3) World Championships.

Running is the purest sport there is. It will always be my most favorite form of exercise as nothing else makes me feel as free and alive.

General Training Philosophy: If I am going to make a mistake I choose to be slightly undertrained. This keeps me injury free, refreshed, always improving and ready to race!

Who I am, really: Wife, mother of three boys, and the not so silent, silent partner of Salt Lake Running Company.


 

Travis Hildebrand

Favorite Runs: Devil's Backbone (a fork off the Shorline Trail behind the U of U hospital).

Favorite/Memorable Races: MWC-Indoor Championship 5000m, Outdoor Championship 10k.

Dream Race: Avenue of the Giants Marathon

Current Running goal: Two to three times a week--doesn't matter how long or how fast.

Inspiration: The day goes by much better after a good morning run--I feel groggy when I don't run.

Family: Parents - Clarence and LeeAnn (11 kids - 6 girls, 5 boys)

Scott Dickey

Hometown: Millville, Ut (Cache Valley, near Logan)

Running since: 1991

Family: My wife Mandy.  

Education:  BS Lifestyle Management with an Emphasis in Fitness from Weber State University, Utah

Teams: Ran for Mt Crest High School; Weber State 1995-2000

Weekly Mileage: 30-45

Favorite Run: Running up to Ben Lomond Peak in North Ogden

Favorite Workout: Long Runs - Preferably in the Mountains

Favorite/Memorable Races: Division I NCAA Cross Country Nationals -  team took 18th in 1999; taking 8th individually in  the Big Sky Cross Country Championships in 1998

Current Favorite Shoe: Nike Air Structure Triax 

Favorite shoe of all time: Brooks Cascadia (2005 version)

Current running Goals: To stay injury free and finish a 50 mile race

Running Inspiration: I love it; to compete with others and myself

Alexandra "Alex" Sperling

Favorite Run: a middle of nowhere dirt road in Middlebury, UT

Favorite/Memorable race: 1st race: a 5k with my dad at his college reunion; Portland ME marathon with a group of friends.

What Inspires me to run: I run because it's something I can do purely selfishly and not feel guilty. It's me time - to de-stress, sort out my thoughts.


 

Gray Augustus
Hometown: Vernal, Ut

Running Since: 1999

Family: Kari Augustus (wife), Jana Augustus (mom), Kreg Augustus (dad) and Dalton Augustus (bro)

Education: Currently an Undergraduate student at the West Minster

Becca Greenband

Favorite/Memorable race: Saint George Marathon.  Salt Lake Marathon 2004 is my most memorable because it was also my wedding day.

What Inspires me to run: For me running is like a portal to another world, which provides me an escape from the real world.  It is a place of my own where I can choose whether I want to challenge myself or simply enjoy the scenery and my thoughts

 


 

Stephanie Fagin
Hometown: St Louis, Mo – favorite hometown race: Lake St. Louis Triathlon

Running Since: 1978

Family: Husband: John Silverman, ER Physician and son: Adam, 3 year old “Wildman”

Teams/Clubs/Schools: Participated in Rocky Mountain Rescue at University of Colorado, Boulder, CO, 1980-1982.  Have worked as a Physical Therapist in Sports Medicine and outpatient PT setting for 20 years and owned business for the past 7 years in canine rehabilitation

Favorite Run: Big Mtn. to Emigration Canyon or Big Mtn. to Lamb’s Canyon

Favorite Workout: biking up Big Cottonwood Canyon
